Muenster scored with just under a minute to play in the game to beat Shiner in the Texas Class 2A Division II high school football championship Wednesday night at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Casen Carney, the son of head coach Brady Carney, five-yard touchdown run gave the Hornets the school’s second overall state crown.

Carney, a junior, was the game’s Offensive MVP with four touchdowns rushing and 147 yards on the ground. Through the air, he completed 15-of-20 passes for 171 yards.
