Muskegon knocks off 2X defending champ De La Salle Collegiate for Michigan Division 2 football championship

Muskegon senior quarterback M’Khi Guy closed-out his scholastic career with 215 rushing and 159 yards passing as the Big Reds beat nationally-ranked De La Salle Collegiate 33-21 for the Division 2 championship at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions. DLS, the two-time state champs, entered the game ranked No. 198 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

The win was the 900th all-time for Muskegon. The Big Reds now own eight high school football championships.
