Nationally-ranked Kahuku wins second straight Hawaii Open Division state championship

Kahuku, ranked No. 52 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, shutout Punahou 20-0 to win the school’s tenth overall Hawaii high school football championship.

Toa Crawford completed 15-of-27 passes for 177 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 69 yards on nine carries. 

Kahuku, which has now won back-to-back, finishes 12-2 with the only losses coming against national powers No. 3 St. John Bosco (California) and No. 11 St. Frances Academy (Maryland).

Punahou’s only losses this year were against Kahuku. The Buff n’ Blue lost 27-20 during the regular season.
