Nationally-ranked St. Frances captures MIAA Class A championship

After a hard-fought 9-7 lead at the half, St. Frances, ranked No. 11 in the latest High School Football America Top 100 national rankings, pulled away from Gilman to capture the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship by a score of 44-7.

SFA finishes a perfect 12-0, outscoring their opponents 542-65.  The Panthers had six shutouts.

The championship is the second straight for St. Frances.
