Nebraska hires 200+ win Texas high school football coach as an assistant

Arlington Martin head coach Bob Wager is headed to the college ranks. New Nebraska head football coach Matt Rhule has hired the legendary Texas high school football coach as the Cornhuskers’ tight ends coach/special teams assistant.

After taking-over Arlington Martin in 2006, Wager led the Warriors to a 206-100 record and were regulars in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. This past season, Arlington Martin finished No. 140 in the Top 300.
