Needles High School is located in Needles, California on the Colorado River in the Mojave Desert near the Arizona and Nevada borders.
The school district is one of the largest in the United States in terms of area with almost 6,000 square miles.
Needles, even though it’s located in California, is a member of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. Needles is one of five California schools that play football in Nevada. The others are Coleville, North Tahoe, South Tahoe, and Truckee.
