The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association is the fifth state to move high school football to next year. On Thursday, the NIAA moved the first practice during the coronavirus pandemic to February 21, 2021.

The first games in a shortened six-week season will be played March 5 with the last games played April 10. The NIAA doesn’t think there will be a postseason

In its news release the NIAA stated, “At this time, it is anticipated that there will not be state tournaments.”

On Monday, we spoke with Liberty head coach Rich Muraco, who talked about the state’s high school football coaches coming together to get the state governing body to make a decision on the 2020-21 sports season.
