After starting the season outside the High School Football America North Carolina Top 10 high school football rankings, New Bern finishes the season No. 1 in our statewide rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Bears finished a perfect 16-0 after beating Grimsley for the 4A state title.

Grimsley finishes No. 2, followed by Hough at No. 3, Mallard Creek at No. 4 and Chambers at No. 5.
