New Canaan won the Class L state high school football title with a 16-13 win over Maloney. Leading the way was Rams QB Ty Groff, who kicked three field goals, including the game-winner from 27-yards out with about two minutes to play. The final FG gave Groff a state-record 27 three-pointers.
