There’s a shake-up at the top of High School Football America’s The Other 25, plus there’s two new teams in our Top 50 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.  The shake-up and the new entrants are the direct result of two games.

Gonzaga (Washington, DC) beat former #16 St. John’s College High School (Washington, DC) 45-35 to close-out the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference regular season, which brought the Eagles into the Top 50 at #49.  SJC dropped to #26.  Neither team can think too long about Saturday’s game, because this Saturday, they will meet again in the WCAC semifinals.

The other game that changed this week’s rankings — Don Bosco Prep‘s (New Jersey) defeat of former #40 St. Peter’s Prep.  The victory moves DBP into the Top 50 for the first time since early in the season.  The Ironmen started 0-3, but have bounced back, winning five of its last six games to re-enter the rankings at #50.  DBP began the season ranked #16 in our Preseason Top 25.

#28 Center Grove (Indiana), which began the season ranked #22 in our Preseason Top 25, has a big one this week as it faces #15 Warren Central in the quarterfinals of the Indiana 6A playoffs.  It’s a rematch of the season opener for the two that saw Warren Central pick-up a 21-16 win.

#38 St. Frances Academy (Maryland) has a chance to make some noise on the national scene as it will taken-on #2 IMG Academy (Florida) this week.
