Seventeen new teams enter this week’s High School Football America 300 national high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Louisiana’s St. Augustine soars into the rankings, created with our proprietary algorithm. The Purple Knights are No. 81 this week after beating defending Class 5A champ Zachary 24-20 Friday night.

St. Augustine battled back from a 17-3 deficit. Amare’ Cooper’s 43-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Karaaz Johnson with under six minutes to play was the game winner.

Zachary entered the game on a 17-game win streak and ranked No. 39. The Broncos tumble to No. 108 this week.

South Florence (South Carolina) is making its first-ever appearance in the Top 300 after shocking reigning 4A champ South Pointe 42-7.
