New York State Public High School Athletic Association moves-up start date for 2022 high school football practice

It only two days, but every little bit helps.

On Wednesday, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association voted to allow high school football teams to begin practice on August 20, instead of August 22.

The change will help teams with their first game, since all programs are required to have 10 days of workouts before they start the regular season.

The 2022 season in the NYSPHSAA opens September 2.
