With one more week to go in the 2021 New York high school football season, Iona Prep has wrapped-up the No. 1 spot in the High School Football America New York Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. The Gaels capped an 11-1 season by winning the New York Catholic League state championship.

Iona Prep beat No. 2 St. Francis (Hamburg) 38-22 to capture the title.

Massapequa moves up one spot to No. 9 this week after beating former No. 9 Walt Whitman for the Long Island Division I championship.

The curtain will fall this week when the New York State Public High School Athletic Association plays its championship games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.

In the AA title game, No. 7 Carmel will play No. 10 Bennett from Buffalo. Both schools are playing in their first state championship game.
