High School Football America looks at where every player in the NFC Championship played high school football.

The Philadelphia Eagles will try to do something Sunday that doesn’t happen very often in the NFL, beat an opponent three times in the same season. The Eagles (15-3) play NFC East opponent Washington (14-5) for the NFC Championship and the right to go to Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans on February 9.

Philadelphia beat the Commanders 26-18 in Week 11 and 36-33 in Week 16.

Actually, this will be the second time in the last three years that the Birds will go after a three-peat. In 2022, the Eagles beat the New York Giants on their way to Super Bowl 57.

This will be the 26th time since 1970 that one team is going after three wins against an opponent in a season. The good news for Eagles fans is the team going for a three-peat is 16-9, meaning a three-peat has been achieved 64-percent of the time.

To get you ready for the game, High School Football America takes a look at both team’s rosters to determine where all of Sunday’s players played in high school.

We’ll start with the away team, the Washington Commanders, who will be led by seven former high schoolers from California. Florida has the second most former high school football players on the Commanders.

Overall 21 different states will be represented in burgundy and gold. American Samoa and Canada are also part of the Commanders’ roster.

Below you can see the breakdown, followed by Washington’s roster as of Saturday night.

Like the Commanders, Philadelphia also has high schoolers from 21 different states. There are two IMG Academy (Florida) on the Eagles roster — linebacker Nolan Smith and cornerback Eli Ricks.

Overall, IMG has three former players in game when you add in wide receiver K.J. Osborn for Washington.

St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania) has a player on each team — Commanders WR Olamide Zaccheaus and the Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter, Jr.
