Texas high school football championships

AT&T Stadium has been the home of Texas high school football championships since 2010.

The NFL is messing with Texas…or at least Texas high school football.

The recently released NFL schedule has the Dallas Cowboys playing the New York Jets on December 19th in AT&T Stadium. This year’s Texas championship games, at that same stadium, are set for December 17th through the 19th with three games set for the 19th.

AT&T stadium has played host to the UIL Texas high school football championship games since 2010.

The UIL has talked about rotating the state championship games between Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, but it wasn’t expecting to have to move games away from Dallas this year, according to The Dallas Morning News.
