Don Bosco Prep football logoBeing the best high school football league in America means that the spotlight is always shining brightly on you.  Three days after all eyes were on the Big North – United Division for the well-played battle between nationally-ranked powers Don Bosco Prep and Paramus Catholic, the spotlight has turned to comments made by DBP head coach Greg Toal about recruiting.

The Record/NorthJersey.com is reporting that New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association attorney Steve Goodell says that the state governing body is interested in “What was said and reported in the newspapers.”

What piqued the NJSIAA‘s interest was this quote in The Record from Toal – “Every kid that comes here is recruited. Do we recruit eighth-graders? We sure do, same for Bergen Catholic, same for St. Joe’s.”

The rules governing recruiting are very clear, so it will be interesting to see how Don Bosco responds to the NJSIAA.
