No. 1 Iona Prep advances to New York Catholic League state championship game against No. 2 St. Francis (Hamburg)

It will be No. 1 Iona Prep vs. No. 2 St. Francis (Hamburg) for the Catholic League state championship Saturday. The top-ranked Gaels advanced to the title game by beating No. 3 Monsignor Farrell 49-15 for the Catholic High School Football League.

The Long Island Division I championship will be decided between No. 9 Walt Whitman and first-time Top 10’er Massapequa.

No. 8 Erasmus Hall will play play Staten Island’s Curtis for the PSAL championship on Sunday.
