Mater Dei controls its destiny when it comes to winning their fourth High School Football America national championship in the last sixth years.
Friday night, before a crowd of 9,000+ fans at the Santa Ana Bowl, No. 1 Mater Dei beat No. 2 St. John Bosco 17-7.

Junior quarterback Elijah Brown, who has never lost a game at the team’s QB, scored the game’s first touchdown on a five-yard run at the start of the second quarter.

Andre Medina’s 22-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter gave the Monarchs a lead they wouldn’t give up.
Jordan Davison iced it with a late 38-yard touchdown run.
