With all of the St. Louis County high school football teams still sidelined by officials who are not allowing them to play during COVID-19, the High School Football America Missouri Top 10 continues to be a mixed bag.
This was supposed to be the week that defending 6A state champ De Smet, No. 1 in the High School Football America Missouri Top 10, was to play No. 3 Christian Brothers College, however, that game has been shelved…for now.
Defending 2A champ Lutheran North was scheduled to play 2018 Kansas 5A champ St. Thomas Aquinas, but the Crusaders are also still sidelined.
Hopefully, we’ll know more about what the future holds for all of the St. Louis County teams in the next couple of days. If those teams can’t play, then they’ll beat dropped from our statewide rankings.
Let’s go on the field where Raymore-Peculiar moves-up three spots in the latest rankings to No. 2 this week after beating Blue Springs 47-20.
Nixa flies into the Top 10 at No. 5 after upsetting former No. 2 Joplin 35-34. The real surprise is that Nixa used a sophomore quarterback, Austin McCracken, to beat the 2019 Class 6A state runner-up.
