It’s hard to beat a team twice in a season, but that’s what No. 11 Northwestern did Friday night.  The Bulls beat defending 6A champ Carol City, ranked No. 59 in the High School Football America Top 100, 23-15 to advance to the state semis.

Senior QB Tutu Atwell threw two touchdowns and ran for one for the Bulls, who will play Naples next Friday.

Atwell had a little extra coaching help on Friday as Northwestern alum and current Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was on the sidelines.

“He helped me with all the calls,” said Atwell after the game.

Bridgewater led the Bulls to a state runner-up finish as a sophomore in 2008.
