No. 14 St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) takes-down No. 1 St. John Bosco (CA) in OT

Offense was at a premium Friday night in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where No. 1 St. John Bosco (California) and No. 14 St. Thomas Aquinas finished 48 minutes of football without scoring a touchdown.  It wasn’t until overtime that someone found paydirt.

Junior quarterback Curt Casteel scored on a one-yard sneak in overtime, giving Aquinas a 9-3 lead. After the Raiders missed the extra-point, they stopped Bosco on four plays to pick-up the victory.

St. Thomas Aquinas only gained 62 yards in total offense during the first 48-minutes. However, thhe Raider defense also did a great job with three interceptions of SJB QB Re-al Mitchell, who is an Iowa State verbal commit.

St. John Bosco had a chance to win it in regulation, but James DuChesne missed a 35-yard field goal with 1:52 left in the game.
