No. 143 Alcoa rolls to 9th straight Tennessee high school football state championship

Alcoa, ranked No. 143 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, added to its Tennessee high school football state championship records Friday at Finley Stadium at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The Tornadoes 42-20 win over East Nashville was the school’s ninth straight 3A title and 22nd overall state championship.

This was the third year in a row that Alcoa has beaten East Nashville for the title. The Tornadoes won 45-26 last year and 45-14 in 2021.
