For the third year in a row, Chaminade-Madonna and Clearwater Central Catholic will battle for a Florida state championship. C-M won the last two battles in the the now defunct 1M classification. The Lions won 56-0 last year and 48-14 in 2022.
Overall, Chaminade-Madonna is looking for its fourth straight state title. The Lions shutout Berkeley Prep 21-0 in 2021.
Both teams bring 12-2 records into the contest. Nationally, C-M is ranked No. 15 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. CCC is ranked No. 42 in the nation.
In our statewide rankings, Chaminade-Madonna is No. 4 in the HSFA Florida Top 25. The Marauders are No. 10 in the state.
The game starts at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time at South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium at Florida International University in Miami.
