Nationally-ranked Pearl-Cohn trailed Upperman 7-0 at the half in the Tennessee 4A high school football championship. But the Firebirds, ranked No. 169 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, got the offense going in the second half on the way to a 36-27 to win the school’s first state title since 1997.
