Alabama-recruit Jaylen Mbakwe had a huge game Thursday night on national television to help Clay-Chalkville take-down four-time reigning Alabama 7A champ Thompson 36-33 in a battle of teams ranked in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Mbakwe, a 5-star recruit who is playing quarterback for CC, even though he won’t play that position in college, ran for five scores, three in the fourth quarter to upset Thompson, which entered the game ranked No. 17 in the HSFA 300, powered by NFL Play Football.

Look for Clay-Chalkville to make a major move from its current ranking of No. 180 on Sunday when we release our new national rankings.
