No. 22 Dutch Fork wins sixth South Carolina high school football crown in seven years

Dutch Fork is back on-top of South Carolina high school football. Saturday at Benedict College, the Silver Foxes, ranked No. 22 in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football, beat No. 154 Fort Dorchester 47-10 for the state’s Class 5A state title.

The game was close after one quarter with Dutch Fork leading 6-3 heading into the second quarter. The Silver Foxes put-up 20 points and never looked back on the way to their sixth AAAAA title in seven years.

Senior running back Jarvis Green ran for four touchdowns in the win.

Overall, Dutch Fork now owns seven state titles on head coach Tom Knotts, who was High School Football America’s 2019 Coach of the Year. Knotts now owns 14 state championship rings. He also won seven titles during his time as a head coach in North Carolina.

Dutch Fork finishes 14-1 with its only loss to No. 11 St. Frances Academy (Maryland). Fort Dorchester finishes ’22 with an 11-4 mark.
