No. 250 Prince Avenue Christian wins Georgia A Division II state football championship with 13 point comeback

Nationally-ranked Prince Avenue Christian is a Georgia state champ after battling back from a 20-7 first half deficit. Then, trailing 27-17 in the third quarter, the Wolverines, who are currently ranked No. 250 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, scored on five consecutive drives to beat Swainsboro 52-34 in the Class A Division II championship game.

PAC QB Aaron Philo now owns state finals records for yards passing (477) yards and touchdown passes (6).

Josh Britt caught 6 of Philo’s 21 completions for 201 yards with three touchdowns. On defense, Britt had a team-high seven solo tackles with one forced fumble and an interception.

The state title is the second for Prince Avenue and wraps-up a perfect 14-0 season. Two of those wins have come against state champs from South Carolina and Tennessee.
