While three regular season losses aren’t the norm for St. Thomas Aquinas, the end to 2024 is. The Raiders, ranked No. 26 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, shutout No. 14 Lakeland 34-0 to win its sixth straight Florida high school football championship and 16th overall.

While most expected a highly-competitive game against Lakeland, owners of nine state championships themselves, this one was never in doubt. STA converted two of Lakeland’s three turnovers into touchdowns in the 5A championship game.

The six straight titles adds to STA’s state record and the 16 state titles is the most by any school in the state.
