No. 30 DeMatha (Maryland) beats No. 36 Good Counsel (Maryland) to advance to Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Championship

When it comes to the DeMatha-Good Counsel rivalry, a win against the arch-rival is always great. Friday night, DeMatha, ranked No. 30 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, doubled its pleasure with its second victory over the Falcons in 2018.

DeMatha beat No. 36 Good Counsel 30-14 to advance to the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship game next Sunday. The Stags will get the winner of Saturday’s game between No. 3 St. John’s College High School (Washington, DC) and No. 37 Gonzaga (Washington, DC).

During the regular season, DeMatha beat GC 32-2.
