Utah-power Corner Canyon (Utah) is still riding the high of a program defining win Thursday night over 2020 High School Football America national champ IMG Academy (Florida). When the first in-season HSFA 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, come out Sunday night, the Chargers will make a big jump from its No. 35 preseason ranking. IMG entered the game ranked No. 4 in our preseason rankings.

Trailing 28-14 at the half, the Corner Canyon defense held strong in the second half while the offense took 35-28 lead.

IMG scored with 1:33 to close to within one point of the Chargers. That’s when IMG head coach Billy Miller decided to go for a two-point conversion and the win. CC’s defense was equal to the task, keeping the Ascenders out of the end zone.
