Cocoa, No. 38 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, won its third straight Florida high school football championship Thursday at Florida International University’s South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium. The Tigers beat No. 100 Gadsden County 38-27 in the Class 2A championship game.

Texas A&M-recruit Brady Hart completed 22-of-31 passes for 259 yards and a touchdown. Hart, who reclassified earlier this year from the Class of 2025 to 2025, finished the season with 4,359 yards passing with 40 touchdowns.

Cocoa has now played in four straight state championship games under head coach Ryan Schneider.

Gadsden County was playing in its first-ever state championship game.
