For the second time in three years, DePaul Catholic is a New Jersey high school football champ. The Spartans beat Pope John XXIII 33-21 for the Non-Public B title Friday after MetLife Stadium, home of the National Football League‘s New York Giants and Jets.

Junior quarterback Derek Zammit ran for two touchdowns and threw for a touchdown. Senior running back Nolan James also ran for two TDs.

DePaul Catholic entered the game ranked No. 53 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
