Marietta, ranked No. 64 in the High School Football America Preseason 100, rode the strong right arm of Tennessee-recruit Harrison Bailey in a season opening 48-14 win over Rome in the 28th annual Corky Kell Classic Thursday night. Bailey completed 19-of-30 passes for 367 yards with five touchdowns.

5-star tight end Arik Gilbert caught nine of those passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns.
The win avenged a 51-41 loss to Rome in last season‘s season opener. The loss was the first at home for Rome since 2015.
