Hoover is going back to the Alabama 7A championship game. The Bucs, ranked No. 70 in the High School Football America Top 100, beat No. 67 Thompson 31-12 Friday night to advance to the 7A title game in two weeks. The defending state champs will play No. 97 McGill-Toolen, who will be playing in its third straight 7A championship game. M-T won the title in 2015 and lost to Hoover last year.
