No. 70 Hoover beats No. 67 Thompson to go after back-to-back Alabama 7A championships

Hoover is going back to the Alabama 7A championship game.  The Bucs, ranked No. 70 in the High School Football America Top 100, beat No. 67 Thompson 31-12 Friday night to advance to the 7A title game in two weeks.  The defending state champs will play No. 97 McGill-Toolen, who will be playing in its third straight 7A championship game. M-T won the title in 2015 and lost to Hoover last year.

The Bucs were led Friday night by Larry McCammon, who ran for 196 yards and three touchdowns as Hoover built a 24-0 lead.
