The Mt. Carmel Caravan now owns 14th Illinois high school football state championships. Saturday, at the University of Illinois, MC beat Batavia 44-20 for the Class 7A state championship.
The win closes out a perfect 14-0 season for the Caravan that entered the game ranked No. 73 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
