No. 95 Ruston beats No. 93 Zachary for Louisiana Non-Select Division I high school football championship

For the first time in 33-years, Ruston is a Louisiana high school football champ. Led by quarterback Joshua Brantley, the Bearcats, ranked No. 95 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, No. 93 Zachary 31-17 in the Non-Select Division I championship at Caesars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints.

Brantley ran for 134 yards and three touchdowns, plus he completed 11 of 19 passes for 194 yards. He won the game’s Most Outstanding Player award.
