There are no changes in the latest High School Football America South Carolina Top 10 powered by NFL Play Football, the NFL’s initiative to provide fun and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels.

The state’s No. 1 team, Dutch Fork cancelled its game against No. 3 Gaffney after 17-year old offensive lineman Jack I. Alkhatib died during practice. Prior to Alkhatib’s death, the Silver Foxes had scheduled Gaffney as a replacement game for Irmo, which had to cancel due to COVID-19 protocols.

Dutch Fork, ranked No. 18 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings, will return to action this week against No. 6 Byrnes.

Below is a tweet from Jack’s mom, encouraging the Dutch Fork players.

Another intra-Top 10 matchup features No. 5 Northwestern taking-on No. 10 Clover. Northwestern rebounded from its season-opening loss to No. 4 South Pointe by beating Rock Hill 48-14 last week. Clover, which opened by knocking-off nationally-ranked Dorman, lost to North Carolina’s Myers Park after its rivalry game against York was cancelled due to COVID-19 protocols.

For the second straight week, South Point will not play due to COVID-19 protocols. The No. 4 ranked Stallions were scheduled to travel to North Carolina to play Mallard Creek in Charlotte.
