North Gwinnett won the inaugural USA Football 7-on-7 State Championships at Gary Pirkle Park.  The Bulldogs, who used back-up quarterback Jimmy Urzua throughout the tournament, defeated Centennial in the championship game.

North Gwinnett finished the day with an 8-1 record, with the team’s only loss coming to South Forsyth in pool play.  The Bulldogs defeated highly-regarded Grayson twice during the tournament, once in pool play and also in the quarterfinals.

In the championship game, Urzua was 20-of-22 with three touchdowns and no interceptions, according to Gwinnett Prep Sports.  The Bulldogs advances t the national championship that will be held in Hoover, Alabama in mid-July.
