USC has lost the verbal commitment of North Torrance linebacker Mique Juarez, who made the announcement that he’s going to “open up” his recruiting options on Twitter.

Juarez’s announcement comes on the same day that USC Athletic Director Pat Haden addressed the media about the firing of head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Juarez, who is a considered one of the top linebackers in the country, committed to the Trojans in January.
