Norwich Free Academy beats New London in 158th meeting of America’s oldest football game

Even though the game wasn’t played on Thanksgiving, the intensity of the rivalry between Norwich Free Academy and New London remained the same Wednesday. NFA beat New London 49-12 in the 158th renewal of America’s oldest football game.

The victory locked-up a Class LL playoff spot for Norwich Free Academy and gives the Wildcats a 79-68-11 lead in the all-time series. NFA has won seven of the last ten matchups between the two.
