Oak Grove beats defending state champ Homer for Louisiana Non-Select Division IV high school football championship

After a 3-3 start, Oak Grove wraps-up the 2022 season with a Louisiana Non-Select Division IV high school football championship. Thursday, a the Caesars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints, the Tigers beat defending 1A (Louisiana re-classified this year) champ Homer 17-0.

Oak Grove (12-3) has now won three state titles in the last four seasons. It’s the Tigers seventh overall title since 1964.

Oklahoma State-recruit Kam Franklin led an outstanding Oak Grove defensive effort. He was named the game’s Most Outstanding Player with 12 tackles, one for a loss, a fumble recovery and an interception that he returned 43-yards.

Homer finishes 11-4.
