The High School Football America Ohio Top 25, powered by NFL Play Football, gets another good shake-up this week.

Fairmont’s 24-21 defeat of former No. 3 Springfield causes lots of movement at the top of the statewide rankings created with HSFA’s proprietary algorithm. Sophomore quarterback Brock Baker got the game-winning score on a 15-yard run late in the fourth quarter in the Greater Western Ohio Conference matchup.

Fairmont moves-up eight spots to No. 13, while last year’s Division I runner-up drops five spots to No. 8.

Springboro took-over sole possession of first place in the Greater Western Ohio Conference with a 21-17 win over previously undefeated Centerville. Springboro moves-up one notch to No. 16 this week, while the Elks drop from No. 13 to No. 17.

This week in the GWOC, Springfield plays Springboro and No. 12 Wayne (Huber Heights) faces No. 23 Northmont.

At the top of the rankings, No. 1 Archbishop Moeller can wrap-up the Greater Catholic League South title when it plays No. 7 Elder. The game will be played before a big crowd at the University of Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium.

Speaking of big crowds, the annual battle between No. 4 St. Edward and No. 9 St. Ignatius will be played on Saturday. The series, known as the Holy War, dates back to 1952 .

Finally, the Eastern Cincinnati Conference title will be on the line Friday night when reigning Division II champ Winton Woods, ranked No. 6 this week, faces No. 21 Kings.
