There’s a new No. 1 in the High School Football America Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. Archbishop Moeller sits at No. 1 after former No. 1 Massillon Washington was surprised by Big Walnut 14-7 in the Division II semifinals.
Heading into the penultimate week of action, Big Walnut breaks into the Top 25 for the first time ever at No. 12. The Tigers fall to No. 2.
Up next for Big Walnut in the semis is No. 10 Anderson with the winner moving on to Canton for a possible state championship. In the other DII semi, No. 4 Archbishop Hoban squares-off with No. 5 Avon. the Eagles will bring a perfect 14-0 record into the game.
Moeller will test its new No. 1 ranking against unranked Centerville. In the other DI semi, No. 3 St. Edward plays No. 11 Olentangy Liberty. St. Ed is looking for its fourth straight Division I championship.
In Division III, No. 7 Toledo Central Catholic plays No. 23 Ursuline. After knocking-off former No. 24 Steubenville, No. 24 Bishop Watterson plays unranked London this week.
