Mentor’s strong start has vaulted the Cardinals in the No. 2 spot in the latest High School Football America Ohio Top 25. The Cardinals also leaped from No. 27 to No. 18 in our national rankings.

There are three head-to-head matchups in the Top 25 this week:

Headlining the list is top-ranked and defending Division I champ Pickerington Central taking Division III champ Trotwood-Madison, which tumbled to No. 17 after losing to Simeon (Illinois) last week.

Two-time defending state champ Archbishop Hoban, which slipped from No. 2 to No. 3 in this week’s statewide rankings, faces No. 13 Huber Heights Wayne and No. 8 St. Ignatius plays No. 19 Euclid.
