Oklahoma News: No. 37 Bixby’s 58-game win streak is over

The nation’s longest active win streak is over.

Thursday night, in a battle between teams in the High School Football America national rankings, No. 235 Jenks beat No. 37 Bixby 38-35 on national television, ending the Spartans 58-game win streak. Both teams entered the game as reigning state champs — Jenks won the 6A-I title, while Bixby has won four straight 6A-II titles.

The win streak dated back to August 24, 2018. That’s when Jenks beat Bixby 28-14.

Bixby entered their season finale on ESPN having outscored their opponents 609-68. The 58-game win streak is a Oklahoma state record in 11-man high school football.

Jaiden Carroll led the way for Jenks with 180 yards rushing and a touchdown.
