OSSAA logoOklahoma has become the latest state to place a limit on full contact in high school football.

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association has approved a new rule that will limit teams to 90 minutes of full contact each week.

OSSAA associate director David Jackson told NewsOK.com, “This is all in an effort to address the concern over head trauma. Oklahoma coaches responded, and the board was pleased and I was pleased that our coaches took the initiative and didn’t want to fight it.”
