The wait is almost over. We’ll be releasing the High School Football America Preseason 100 that is created with our proprietary algorithm.
Now, it’s time for me to get on my soapbox!
We do a Preseason 100 for the fans. Quite honestly, as proud as we are of our algorithm, it’s really designed to analyze on-field results. However, our fans enjoy preseason rankings, so we’ve done our best to adapt the algorithm to create what you’ll see tomorrow.
The good news is…our preseason rankings are a pretty good indicator of things to come. Last year, 59 teams that began the year in the Top 100, ended the season there.

In addition to our Preseason 100, we also unveil our On the Bubble teams (No. 101 through No. 125) and our Honorable Mention teams (teams from No. 126 through No. 250).

And, Friday’s release also marks the 15th anniversary of High School Football America that began in 2004 as a blog known as The High School Football Huddle.
