You’re not seeing double, there are two Northwesterns at the top of the latest High School Football America’s The Other 25, which is created with our proprietary algorithm.

Northwestern from South Carolina moves to the top of the bubble at #26 this week, while Northwestern from Florida climbs nine spots to #27 after knocking-off former #31 and four-time Florida state champion Miami Central, which fell out of the National Top 50.

This week’s rankings were impacted by the top teams in New Jersey that keep beating-up on each other.  St. Joseph Regional remains the top team in the state and our national rankings at #28 after knocking-off Friendship Collegiate from Washington, D.C.  St. Peter’s Prep re-enters the Top 50 this week after knocking-off former #29 Bergen Catholic, which falls to #41. St. Peter’s is ranked #39.  Paramus Catholic climbs seven spots this week to #37.

The week ahead in North New Jersey will also have a big impact on next week’s national rankings as St. Joe’s will host St. Peter’s on Saturday and Paramus Catholic plays Don Bosco Prep on Friday.  DBP is just outside of the Top 50, even though they are 3-3.  The Ironmen stared 0-3 with losses to nationally-ranked American Heritage (Plantation, Florida) and St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania)

Fasten your seatbelts, the next three weeks of football in Jersey will be like a series of heavyweight fights on back-to-back-to-back weekends…and then there’s the playoffs!

Aside from St. Peter’s, new to this week’s national rankings are — #48 Edna Karr (Louisiana), #49 Norman North (Oklahoma) and #50 Tupelo (Mississippi).
