Parkersburg (West Virginia) hires new head coach

Matt Kimes is the new head football coach at Parkersburg High School in West Virginia. Kimes, who spent three years as the head coach at Warren High in Ohio, takes-over for Mike Byus.

Parkersburg is coming off a 4-6 season. During his five years at Parkersburg, Byus led the Big Reds to 29 wins.

Kimes, who is a Parkersburg alum, led Warren to a 16-14 mark.

Parkersburg is one of the winningest high school football programs in America. The Big Reds own 842 all-time victories since beginning football in 1906.
